Where to Start with Pailin Chongchitnant

Pailin Chongchitnant is a Thai-Canadian chef, cookbook author, and YouTube creator who has done more to make authentic Thai cooking accessible to home cooks than perhaps anyone else. Born in Hat Yai, Thailand, she moved to Vancouver in 2003 to study nutritional science at the University of British Columbia before training at Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco. In 2009, she launched her YouTube channel Hot Thai Kitchen (later renamed Pailin’s Kitchen), which has grown to over two million subscribers. She is also a co-host of One World Kitchen on Canadian television. Her two cookbooks are Hot Thai Kitchen (2016), which won a silver Taste Canada award and became an international bestseller, and Sabai: 100 Simple Thai Recipes for Any Day of the Week (2023). She lives in Vancouver with her family.
